Mary Tyler Moore appeared in the hit sitcom, The Mary Tyler Moore Show during the 70's. Before this, she starred in The Dick Van Dyke Show for five years, where she played Laura Petrie. Away from her usual TV characters, she was cast for the role in the 1980's film Ordinary People, for which she was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Actress. She also appeared in the 1967 film, Thoroughly Modern Millie.
